Ceramic Coating: Most Long-Lasting Protection in Jacksonville
Get your vehicle protected by the best ceramic coating installers in the Jacksonville area
What is a Ceramic Coating?
In the car world today, we still have your more traditional forms of paint protection like waxes and sealants which enhance your vehicles overall shine and gloss while providing protection to your paint from harsh elements.
With new technology, we now have the most durable and long lasting form of paint protection for your vehicle, the ceramic coating.
This is not like your traditional wax or sealant that can be applied by hand. This coating is a semi-permanant liquid layer that bonds to the surface of your vehicle.
It is most commonly referred to as a "sacrificial layer" or a "skin" for your paint. It is referred to as this because it takes the beating instead of your paint. Instead of your paint being potentially damaged, this durable layer of protection repels dirt, rain, bird poo, sap, tar etc.
Benefits of a Ceramic Coating
To provide you with the best results of long lasting protection, it takes time. Especially with a ceramic coating. Unlike our Wash and Wax that is a hand applied layer of protection, a ceramic coating is a tedious process that requires proper experience and tools to correctly apply the coating.
Here are just some of the benefits:
- -Produces the most durable protection that lasts between 2 to 9 years depending on the tier you choose.
- -You only need to apply it once and not every few months like a wax or sealant.
- -Creates a deep level of gloss and slickness that’s incomparable to other forms of protection like wax or sealant
- -Provides unmatched hydrophobic properties that keeps your car cleaner and makes it easier to wash for the future. -Protects against corrosive salt and minerals -Protects against UV ray damage and other tough environmental conditions.
Before the coating is installed there is some additional prep work that needs to be completed so you get the most out of the coating. You must get some form of paint correction so that the coating can properly bond to the surface of your vehicle.
Additionally, if your paint isn't properly prepped and installed then you won't get all the benefits and will see smudges across your vehicle. These are called "high spots" and happen when the coating isnt properly installed or if it is left to dry for too long.
Common Myths About Ceramic Coatings
Although ceramic coatings are very durable, long lasting and do provide crazy gloss that doesn't mean that your vehicle is now bullet proof. Just like anything, there are limitations and it is important to understand these limitations.
There are a lot of myths about ceramic coatings and we want to give you as much information as possible so that you get the result you want.
Ceramic coatings are not rock chip resistant. In order for a vehicle to rock chip resistant there would need to have some sort of protection that can absorb the rock hit without damaging the paint. In this case, the coating does not do that.
Ceramic coatings are not self healing. The coating requires maintenance to prolong the duration of its life. With this you can get more from your coating and get it to last more years. Many factors play into the lifespan of the coating.
It is scratch proof when applied. This coating is scratch resistant but not scratch proof. It is substantially harder for your paint to get scratched when it is ceramic coated but that does not make it invincible to scratching. If not taken care of properly, the swirls and scratches can come back.

Ceramic Coating FAQ's
What is the difference between getting a wax and a ceramic coating?
Great question! A wax/sealant will only last a few months and provides less durable and robust protection when compared to a ceramic coating. Though a paint sealant does protect your paint, the Florida weather is a tough environment. It is easy for the life span of a wax to be reduced when faced with extremely rough conditions. On top of that, you can also ceramic coat your glass unlike the application of a wax which is strictly for paint application.
A ceramic coating is like a skin over your paint that bonds to the surface of your vehicle. This provides more durable protection against the UV rays, rain, dirt, salt air, etc. that lasts for YEARS instead of months. Though it is not permanent, the results from a ceramic coating greatly outshine a traditional paint sealant.
Can you do this service at my location?
Of course! We offer all our services fully mobile so that you can get professional results in the easiest way possible. With this service there are some requirements so that we can give you the best result. We will need an enclosed space or garage to work in so that we can properly correct the paint and apply the coating. If you don't have an open garage, dont worry about it! You can drop it off at our garage location.
Can I wash my car after my coating is installed?
Once the coating is applied, the vehicle should not get wet for the first 48 hours so the coating can properly cure. After that we advise our customers not to wash the vehicle for the first 2 weeks after installation. We offer a free premium wash after the first 2 weeks so that we can check up on the coating to make sure everything is holding up.
Can I get just a ceramic coating?
We can just apply a ceramic coating on your car however it is in very rare cases. In most cases there will need to be some sort of correction so that the coating can properly bond to the surface. Most times without proper paint correction then you will not get the the most out of your coating. That is why we almost always require paint correction with a ceramic coating, but if you have any questions please reach out! If you are looking to get your trim ceramic coated then we offer that too with no prep besides a Premium Wash.
How can I maintain my vehicle after the coating is installed?
Many of our customers love to get on our Maintenance Program because this prolongs the life of the coating so it gets a longer life span and proper thorough wash techniques regularly. If a maintenance plan doesn't interest you, our premium wash is a great service to give you a thorough cleaning and add life to your coating.
